Sony World Photography Awards ถือเป็นอีกหนึ่งเวทีการประกวดภาพถ่ายระดับโลกที่ยิ่งใหญ่ที่สุดอีกเวทีหนึ่งของโลก ผลงานกว่า 173,000 ชิ้น 171 ทั่วโลก คือตัวเลขสถิติของผลงานที่ถูกส่งเข้าประกวดบนเวทีนี้ เมื่อปี 2014

ซึ่งภาพถ่ายที่ถูกคัดเลือกเข้าสู่รอบ Shortlist จะได้รับเงินรางวัลไปแล้วไม่ต่ำกว่า $25,000 และจะเพิ่มขึ้นอีกหากผลงานสามารถคว้ารางวัลชนะเลิศในหมวดต่างๆ โดยผลงานทั้งหมดที่ได้รับรางวัลยังจะได้ถูกนำไปจัดแสดงใน Somerset House กลางกรุงลอนดอนอีกด้วย

แต่ก่อนจะถึงวันประกาศรางวัล เว็บไซต์ MyModernmet ได้รวมเอา 30 ผลงานที่ผ่านเข้าสู่ Shortlist มาให้ชม

นอกจากจะชมความสวยงามของภาพเเละเทคนิคการถ่ายแล้ว เชื่อว่าภาพเหล่านี้ยังจะช่วยปลุกแรงบันดาลใจ เปิดมุมมองใหม่ๆ ให้ทุกคนได้เป็นอย่างดี
